Paul Lotharius, President and Chief Operating Officer

Paul Lotharius was named President and Chief Operating Officer of both Health Contact Partners and HealthFitness in 2010. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in operations and technology management in the healthcare and insurance industries. Prior to Health Contact Partners, Paul was president and chief executive officer of CoreSource, one of the nation’s largest providers of third party benefit administration and health management services. He holds an MBA from Butler University in Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Purdue University.

Richard Alvarez, Vice President of Business Development and Sales

Richard Alvarez joined Health Contact Partners in 2009, and works to develop the company’s strategic plan and potential sales markets, identifying new channel partners as well as broadening relationships with existing partners. He has more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health benefits and wellness industries. Prior to joining HCP, Alvarez was Vice President, Business Development for Interactive Health Solutions, a national provider of strategic wellness programs for employers. He also served at UnitedHealth Group’s National Accounts division and for Pfizer, Inc., National Healthcare Operations. Alvarez holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DePaul University and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University.

Steve Horvath, Vice President and General Manager

Steve Horvath is responsible for all clinical and call center operations, information technology, human resources, finance and administration. He has 17-plus years of experience in managing health insurance administration organizations. Most recently, he was a member of the New Growth Ventures team for The Trustmark Companies, driving the company’s diversification into new health services businesses. He played a significant role in scoping the company’s interest in consumer health services and was directly responsible for Trustmark’s recent acquisition of Health Contact Partners. Horvath holds a bachelor’s degree in management and finance from The University of Iowa.

Sue Brown RN, BSN, Vice President of Clinical Operations

Sue Brown is responsible for the daily operations of the MyNurse 24/7 team including the highly trained staff of nurses and care specialists. She directs and implements the training, staffing, education and policies of her team. Brown is also responsible for heading up new client implementations and providing positive client experiences. She is constantly working to ensure customer satisfaction with results-oriented outcomes. Her background includes hospital administration at Rush North Shore Medical Center, where she served as Assistant Vice President of patient care services. Prior to this position, she was the Patient Care Director for surgical intensive care, medical intensive care, and the surgical telemetry unit at Rush North Shore. Brown is currently completing her M.A. in health systems management, and has a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Barat College in Lake Forest, Ill. She brings her extensive career in clinical management, including staff development, scheduling and process improvement to support initiatives for growth at Health Contact Partners. Sue joined the management team in November 2004.
